From solo musicians to larger ensembles, we proudly coordinate to provide the musical backdrop for your unique event. All musicians are experienced professional musicians who have devoted years to their craft.
Mission Statement: Harp & Soul’s purpose is to provide professional level musicians who are passionate about music, flexible to adapt to any situation and excited to explore new opportunities including learning new repertoire in order to meet the needs of each unique client.
Nichole Rohrbach, is the owner and CEO of Harp & Soul as well as the primary harpist and pianist. Nichole currently resides in the Philadelphia area and frequents the Atlanta area often. Nichole received her Bachelor’s of Music degree in Harp Performance as well as a Masters of Arts in Theatrical Production from a private university in South Carolina. She currently serves on the board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Harp Society as Secretary. In her role as secretary, Nichole is heavily involved in organizing harp events for the Greater Philadelphia area.
Nichole has professional ensemble experience performing as harpist with the Fountain Inn Symphony Orchestra, the South Carolina Children’s Theater, Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra, The Reading Philharmonic, The BJU Symphony Orchestra, The BJU Harp Ensemble and Anderson Cancer Society’s Concert for the Cure. In addition to ensemble experience Nichole is in demand as a professional solo musician. Various corporations, businesses, non-profit organizations and fundraisers have employed her services.
Over the past few years, Harp & Soul has seen a surge in the demand of services. Performing for hundreds of clients in PA, NY, DE, NJ, MD, CT, MA, VT, NC, SC, CA, CO, FL and GA. Harp & Soul’s services have been sought after by prestigious clients including: BMW, One Atlantic, Warby Parker, Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor, The Rittenhouse and many others. Nichole’s educational experience as a musician provided her an outlet to be involved with a broad spectrum of musical opportunities. She was a charter member of the University Chamber Harp Ensemble a position which she held for more than six years. Nichole was invited to perform original works of composition students, collaborated with conductors and composers on new works, was involved in recording a new soundtrack for a play, participated in several experimental programs that involved the harp.
Nichole maintains a private harp studio and has previously provided private harp instruction in the studio of Emily Waggoner for beginner and intermediate students. Nichole gave several public solo recitals in which she performed works such as: Introduction et Allegro by Maurice Ravel, Danses Sacre et Profane by Claude Debussy, Impromptu Caprice by Gabriel Pierne, Concerto for Flute and Harp by A. Mozart, Bb Concerto by Handel, Harp Concerto by Dittersdorf and selections from Variations on a Theme in Ancient Style by Carlos Salzedo. Accomplished musicians and accompanists assisted her in her recitals for select pieces. Nichole studied with Phyllis Enscher Peters and Emily Waggoner.
Noelle Bryant, has served the longest tenure providing music in collaboration for Harp & Soul Clients. Noelle studied cello under Chris Lee while attending college and participated in several ensembles and orchestras including: The Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra and the BJU Symphony Orchestra.
Noelle has been performing for 10+ years and has performed for hundreds of events as a professional cellist. Noelle is also feature in many of Harp & Soul’s recordings and videos.
Jaclyn Duncan, Boston University graduate (2000), brings years of diverse musical experience to every performance. Trained classically on the piano, Jaclyn has performed as an accompanist at many prestigious schools and concert venues including The Juilliard School and New England Conservatory. In addition to collaborative piano, Jaclyn has performed and recorded extensively on flute throughout the USA and Japan, playing selections from genres as diverse as funk, hip hop, jazz, reggae, edm, classical, folk, pop, tribal, techno and drum & bass. Recordings include a Sony Japan release with correlating MTV Japan video.
As a lover of travel, Jaclyn does not let distance keep her from making music, but sees it, rather, as an opportunity to explore a new local culture. With teams currently located in New Jersey, Philadelphia, NYC & Central Florida, Jaclyn and her fellow musicians welcome musical inquiries from near and far alike.
ALFIYA GLOA, BORN IN SOCHI, RUSSIA, ALFIYA GLOW BEGAN HER VIOLIN STUDIES AT THE AGE OF FIVE AND AFTER JUST SEVEN MONTHS, HAD HER FIRST PERFORMANCE AS A SOLO VIOLINIST WITH THE SOCHI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. EVEN AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE, SHE KNEW THAT MUSIC WOULD BE HER FUTURE.
AT THE AGE OF FIFTEEN, ALFIYA WAS ONE OF FEW YOUNG MUSICIANS ACCEPTED TO STUDY AT THE PRESTIGIOUS SPECIAL MUSIC SCHOOL – COLLEGE AND MOVED OVER TWELVE HUNDRED MILES, ON HER OWN, TO THE CITY OF KAZAN, THE CAPITAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN IN RUSSIA. DURING HER TIME AT THE COLLEGE AND LATER AT THE KAZAN STATE CONSERVATORY, ALFIYA WON NUMEROUS INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL VIOLIN COMPETITIONS AND TOURED EXTENSIVELY THROUGHOUT RUSSIA AND EUROPE AS CONCERTMISTRESS OF THE KAZAN CHAMBER STUDENT ORCHESTRA.
LEAVING HOME AT SUCH AN EARLY AGE FOR HER VIOLIN STUDIES NOT ONLY HELPED TO FOSTER ALFIYA’S PROFESSIONALISM IN THE MUSIC WORLD BUT ALSO A STRONG AND INDEPENDENT SPIRIT. AT THE AGE OF TWENTY, SHE WAS READY FOR THE NEXT GREAT OPPORTUNITY IN LIFE AND APPLIED TO MUSIC SCHOOLS FOR AN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN THE UNITED STATES. IN 2009, ALFIYA WAS ACCEPTED INTO TEMPLE UNIVERSITY’S BOYER COLLEGE OF MUSIC AND DANCE IN PHILADELPHIA, AND RECEIVED A FULL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED ONLY TO MUSICIANS OF EXTRAORDINARY ABILITY.
THAT SAME YEAR, ALFIYA WAS INVITED TO BE A DISTINGUISHED MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONALLY CELEBRATED IPALPITI ARTISTS INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTRA AT ITS ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF INTERNATIONAL LAUREATES. IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS AS A MEMBER OF THIS ENSEMBLE, SHE PERFORMED ON BOTH U.S. COASTS IN SUCH RENOWNED CONCERT VENUES AS THE LINCOLN CENTER (NEW YORK CITY), THE WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL (LOS ANGELES), AND THE KIMMEL CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS (PHILADELPHIA), TO NAME A FEW.
IN ADDITION TO HER CONTINUED CLASSICAL MUSIC EDUCATION AND WORKING TOWARDS A MASTERS DEGREE IN THE UNITED STATES, ALFIYA HAD THE OCCASION TO MEET AND WORK WITH TWO IMPORTANT PRODUCERS IN THE POPULAR MUSIC INDUSTRY. LARRY GOLD, THE STRING ARRANGER FOR JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, KANYE WEST, AND LANA DEL REY, AND KENNY LLOYD, A SOUND ENGINEER FOR ALICIA KEYS, EMINEM AND OTHER ARTISTS. HER COLLABORATIONS WITH THESE PRODUCERS ON SEVERAL MAJOR RECORDS FOR ARTISTS SUCH AS R. KELLY, LANA DEL REY, AND BOYZ II MEN, ENCOURAGED AN ALREADY STRONG INTEREST AND PASSION FOR THE MUSICAL GENRES OF POP, HIP-HOP, AND EDM.
AFTER RECEIVING HER MASTER OF MUSIC PERFORMANCE DEGREE FROM TEMPLE UNIVERSITY, ALFIYA DECIDED TO DRASTICALLY CHANGE HER PATH IN LIFE AND BEGAN TO PURSUE A CAREER IN WHAT SHE DISCOVERED WAS HER TRUE MUSICAL PASSION: ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC. COMBINING HER TALENTS AS A DJ, MUSIC PRODUCER, AND ELECTRIC VIOLINIST, SHE HAS SINCE RELEASED A NUMBER OF ORIGINAL EDM HOUSE MUSIC TRACKS, MASHUP AND BOOTLEG PACKS, AND REMIXES THAT HAVE ALL BEEN WELL RECEIVED. ALFIYA ALSO RUNS A PODCAST CALLED HAUS GLOW, BROADCASTING EPISODES THAT FEATURE HER FAVORITE HOUSE TRACKS IN EDM AS WELL HER OWN LATEST MUSICAL PROJECTS.
